Sorrel Leaf Healing Center
124 Indianola Road, Eureka CA
Sorrel Leaf Healing Center is located on the occupied territory of the Wiyot peoples which includes the Wiyot tribe, Bear River Rancheria and Blue Lake Rancheria. In cooperation with the Humboldt County Department of Mental Health and the California Health Facilities Financing Authority, SLHC will be the first of its kind healing campus specializing in mental health needs of children and teens. Our scope for the 7,757 square foot main building included rough framing, trusses, installation of exterior DensGlass and rainscreen system, exterior siding comprised of a combination of Hardie siding and cedar shingles, custom column wraps and corbels. On the interior, our team completed the installation of all interior drywall and interior finish carpentry. The traditional craftsman style interior trim is designed as a nod to the original 1930s home that once stood where the Center sits now, including wainscot T&G paneling, pine crown molding, custom library bench seats, wood clad ceilings, custom columns at entry and hallway spaces, and custom cedar wrapped ceiling beams.
